Twist Reservoir
Twist reservoir is located on the southwest side of the park west of Buffalo Creek Ranch. This lake is 3 acres and 12-14 feet deep. It’s a perfect spot for a float tube or pontoon. There are good hatches of chironomids, callibaetis, damsels and sedge caddis, as well as scuds, water boatmen, and leeches. The fish in this lake consist of Rainbows from 15-20 inches and a couple pushing 6-8 pounds.
To access Twist Reservoir, head South on Highway 14 for 16.2 miles to County Road 28. Turn East onto CR28 and follow it for 1 mile to County Road 11. Take CR11 South for 7.6 miles, and head west down the hill just past Slack Weiss Reservoir.
